Support the FHS National Qualifiers

FHS Speech and Debate Seeks Fundraising Support

Flathead High School Speech and Debate had an unprecedented year at the National Qualifying Tournament.

A total of 14 competitors will be sent from Flathead to compete in the National Speech and Debate tournament June 11-18 in Louisville, Kentucky. This is the largest delegation we’ve ever sent!

Students and coaches have set up multiple opportunities for the community to help them reach their goal of $30,000 by June. These expenses will be used to pay for entry fees, meals, hotel rooms, car rentals, and airfare to support the competitors and coaches on the trip.

This Thursday, April 28th, at the Elks, the qualifiers will be hosting a Vista Linda spaghetti dinner and fundraising festivities beginning at 5:30 pm. The cost of dinner is $10/person. Additionally, there will be a live dessert auction, as well as raffles for themed baskets sponsored by each of the qualifiers, and silent auctions for two ½ day Flathead Lake fishing trips and a senior portrait package with Shannon Hollman Photography valued at $600.

If you are unable to attend the spaghetti dinner, the team has also set up a GoFundMe. You can use the QR code below, or contact head coach Shannon O’Donnell (odonnellsh@sd5.k12.mt.us) directly to support the team.
