Transportation: 
Students must travel to and from the tournament WITH THE TEAM. The bus will leave from FHS at 6:00 AM sharp. DON’T BE LATE. Our expected return is sometime between 8:00 PM-9:00 PM —we’ll have the kids call when we get close.

All debate/speech rounds will begin at the same time, and there will beone hour and 45 minutes between rounds.  (Debate and Extemp ballots will go out first.)

Location:
All competition will take place in the Ronan High School and Ronan Middle School buildings.  Some events will take place on the second floor of the middle school.  An elevator is available.

Concessions: will NOT be available, so pack plenty of snacks and water.

Other Items: You may dress comfortably on the bus, but you must change into and remain in competition clothes throughout the day (including the awards). Speech Students: remember your  TIMER!

The bus will leave from FHS at 3:30 AM sharp. DON’T BE LATE. Our expected return is sometime between 11:00 PM-12:00 AM —we’ll have the kids call when we get close.

Tourney Schedule: 
Registration the day of the tournament will be held at  the main office of the high school (on north side of the school facing Fairgrounds Road.) from 7:00 - 7:45 am.

2014 Hawker Invitational

Transportation:   
Students will be school sponsored for the full day Friday, and the bus will leave from FHS at 6:00 AM sharp. DON’T BE LATE. Our expected return is somewhere around 2:00 AM (we hope)—we’ll have the kids call when we reach Lakeside.

  • turn in your pay-to-play fee at the main office
  • return your student info form to your squad coach

** Judges for kickoff--
  • Each team member is responsible for getting 2 judges for the kickoff tournament on November 1.  
  • Pick up one of the orange judge forms from my room if you don't have one yet.  
  • Due by this Friday, October 24.

Camp Registration is Open!






Flathead High School is proud to offer our Middle School Speech and Debate Summer Camp July 21-24!

The FHS Middle School Summer Camp will offer select events in the four categories of Speech and Debate.  

Camp will be held in a workshop format.  Students will be divided into four teams to attend workshops on Debate, Interpretation, Memorized, and Short-Prep events.  Students will have the option of selecting a specific event to prepare a piece for our showcase on Thursday from 1:30-3:00.  The showcase is open to family.

  • This summer camp is available to students currently in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.
  • $55 Participation fee: includes materials, daily snacks, and a T-Shirt (fee scholarships are available for eligible students)
  • July 21st-24th at Flathead High School
  • Monday-Wednesday, 9am-12pm
  • Thursday, 9am-3pm
